2012 Fine Red Wine

Choosing a great bottle of red can be tricky for anyone.  We have discovered a rare gem wine. This quality red vintage wine will delight.  

This cuvée is produced in limited quantity only and his rare vintage is very qualitative!  The wine is elaborated from very old small Pinots vines from Aÿ, the harvest being entirely vinified and raised on lees during 15 months. There is no use of herbicide, insecticide or fungicide.

Only sparkling wines produced in Champagne from grapes grown in Champagne can be called Champagne.  Still wines are not so known in the Champagne region, however, this producer has made a fine red wine which is 100% Pinot Noir grapes.  It is relatively light with lots of ripe red fruit with a hint of cherries. It is perfect for drinking now and we are excited to see what it will evolve into.

Henri Goutorbe is a family-run Champagne producer in the village of Ay which is notable because the village vineyards are 100% Grand Cru. Henri Goutorbe was established in the mid-20th century by Henri Goutorbe, whose family had long been in the vineyard and winemaking business. The estate produces top quality Champagnes.
