Birthday Wine Gifts

A good birthday wine suits the person, not the occasion. A smooth red such as a Malbec or Cabernet Sauvignon is the safest choice for most, while a crisp Sauvignon Blanc or an elegant rosé works well for summer birthdays. For a milestone year, choose a fine wine from a named producer - a bottle with a story behind it always feels more special. If you are unsure, a personalised bottle takes the pressure off the wine choice entirely, because the label makes the gift.

Yes. Many of our wines can be personalised with the recipient's name, age and your own birthday message, printed on the label. Choose from red, white or rosé, add your wording at the product page, and we create the bottle to your order. Personalised bottles are a favourite for milestone birthdays - a 40th or 60th printed on the label turns the wine into a keepsake as well as a gift.

Yes. Next-day delivery is available across the UK on orders placed before our daily cut-off. Every gift is packed securely, tracked to the door and includes a complimentary gift message card with your birthday wishes - so you can send it directly to the recipient with confidence, even if you have left it late.

Almost every gift includes a luxury gift box, a large hand-tied ribbon and a complimentary gift message card as standard. You choose the wording for the card at checkout. Some gifts also include chocolates or a second bottle - each product page lists exactly what is in the box.

For a 40th, 50th, 60th or beyond, look at our fine wine range - bottles from respected producers in regions such as Bordeaux, Tuscany and the Napa Valley. A named producer gives the gift weight, and a personalised label or a wooden presentation box makes the milestone clear. Two-bottle sets also work well when the celebration involves sharing.
